Principal (m/f/d).

As a Principal at i-potentials, you will be responsible for the entire executive search process for 1st and 2nd management level mandates – from the initial consultation during the acquisition process to the search strategy and decision-making. You will be the first point of contact and sparring partner at eye level for your clients and translate the requirements into clear targets for your searches. You manage your project team consisting of (senior) consultants and market analysts at all times with a clear eye for the highest quality and efficiency, while using your expertise to advance the content of a search.

You proactively and transparently advise clients and candidates on the digital candidate market and the corresponding profiles for their respective business models. By using your expertise, you will constantly maintain and expand your strong network and your high-calibre client and candidate base. With “client success” always in mind, you focus on sustainable, trusting relationships with the aim of long-term cooperation.

At the same time, you will share your knowledge and wealth of experience with (senior) consultants in particular and thus play a decisive role in building the team and further developing our corporate culture.

Your tasks at a glance

  • Filling first and second management level mandates by managing and implementing executive search projects as a client consultant and project manager
  • Transparent client consulting on the candidate market and search strategies within a project as well as on further organisational architecture
  • Establishing and expanding your own client portfolio through consulting activities, targeted networking and key account management as well as responsibility for the entire sales process within your projects
  • Establishing and expanding your own expert status and relevance in the network through confident and professional external communication
  • Supporting the operational implementation of projects (incl. capacity and process planning, reporting, KPI tracking and profitability analyses)
  • Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and development of (senior) consultants
  • Prospective management of an internal practice and continuous knowledge transfer

Your profile

You are a confident leader (m/f/d) who approaches project work with an analytical eye, entrepreneurial thinking and a keen sense of customer needs at decision-maker level. In addition, you have a deep understanding of business contexts and relevant digital and market trends. You are able to think your way into a consulting organisation with a boutique character and combine resource-oriented, hands-on project management with the quality standards of a high-level search process.

You are competent and open in your dealings with clients and know how to confidently navigate decision-making situations thanks to your experience. Whatever you do, you do it with the highest quality standards and the will to create added value, be it in sales and networking or in project and team work. Expertise paired with high emotional intelligence is your recipe for success. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and networking insights with the organisation and are passionate about developing and learning through new input and regular feedback.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in managing customers and leading employees and teams with different levels of experience and seniority
  • Track record of relevant digital experience or experience in the premium consulting/headhunting sector
  • Resilient and collaborative leadership personality with strong emotional intelligence
  • Strong analytical and conceptual mindset, paired with high implementation strength and strong quality awareness
  • Confident, authentic communicator at eye level combined with excellent project and multi-stakeholder management skills across all levels
  • A resilient and extensive network in the digital environment as well as with corporations and medium-sized companies resulting from extensive experience in customer acquisition
  • Profound understanding of the digital economy, digital business models and modern organisational designs (incl. leadership approaches) as well as the motivation to continuously expand this understanding
