i-potentials, the leading Executive Search & Leadership Advisory boutique for transformation and innovation contexts in the DACH region, is expanding its partner structure and announces the appointment of Sabine Thiemann and Jonas Wolf as Partners.
This addition brings valuable expertise in transformation, private equity, and technology to the firm’s partner group. The strengthening of the Munich and Hamburg offices marks the next step in i-potentials’ growth journey. After more than 15 years of successful market presence, the boutique underscores its commitment to actively shaping the future viability of the German and DACH economies by filling key leadership positions.
Sabine Thiemann: International Executive Search expert with 25 years of experience
Sabine Thiemann brings over 25 years of experience in Executive Search, gained at leading international consulting firms such as Heidrick & Struggles, Russell Reynolds Associates, and Spencer Stuart. She has led searches for CEO, C-suite, and supervisory board positions, including numerous mandates for technology roles. Most recently, she served as Principal at i-potentials, focusing on placements at the intersection of mid-sized companies, international corporations, and fast-growing, private equity-backed scale-ups.
“Executive Search is much more than simply filling a position. It’s about safeguarding the future viability of organizations. In a time when business models and technologies are evolving rapidly, companies need leaders who can bridge the gap between tradition and innovation. That’s exactly where I want to contribute my experience and help actively shape transformation across the DACH region,” says Thiemann.
Jonas Wolf: Transformation expert strengthens presence in Northern Germany
With around 20 years of experience as an executive leading transformation processes in media and digital companies, Jonas Wolf joins the partner circle and drives the expansion of the Hamburg office. His focus is on filling key positions in private-equity-backed mid-sized firms, family businesses, and digital growth companies — particularly in dynamic change and succession contexts.
“Transformations such as succession, business model evolution, or rapid growth can only succeed through proximity, trust, and a deep understanding of both technological and cultural dynamics — especially in owner-managed companies. With our expanded partner structure and our presence in Hamburg and Munich, we are even better positioned to personally support our clients in family businesses, private equity portfolios, and innovative mid-sized companies, helping them successfully fill their key leadership roles,” says Wolf.
Managing Partners: Strengthening strategic focus on transformation
“We are delighted to welcome Sabine Thiemann and Jonas Wolf to our partner circle,” says Constanze Buchheim, Founder and Managing Partner of i-potentials. “With this expansion, i-potentials not only strengthens its market position but also reinforces its forward-looking focus: shaping a future-ready economy through the optimal placement of top-level leaders.”
“The current transformation challenges cannot be addressed with traditional consulting approaches, standard solutions, or the classic methods that long defined executive search. They require specialization, deep market understanding, and customized answers backed by high consulting competence,” Buchheim continues.
Martina van Hettinga, also Managing Partner at i-potentials, adds: “With this step, we are combining exactly these competencies at the leadership level and positioning ourselves as the go-to partner for companies that need true future-shapers in their key roles.”
