The role

Executive search at i-potentials can broadly be divided into three phases: market analysis and identification; candidate approach and pre-qualification; and the selection process, client steering, and closure.

As a Senior Consultant, you own the middle phase. Your mission: together with our Research Circle, identify the right leadership personalities, win them over for the mandate, and ultimately hand over to the Partner in charge exactly those candidates who truly fit.

In your projects, you are the central point of contact for candidates. At the same time, you take on project management—coordinating all steps to ensure the project meets the quality standards of our clients and our organisation. You align your approach closely with one of our experienced Partners, who hold overall project leadership.

Responsibilities in detail

  • Approach and win outstanding candidates for top-executive and board mandates—from first contact and pitch through to handover to the project lead
  • Take ownership of project management: ensure status updates, client alignment, and coordination with Research Consultants run smoothly so that we consistently deliver the highest quality for our clients
  • Produce precise, high-quality project documentation, candidate dossiers, and final reports
  • Contribute to internal initiatives, e.g. on AI adoption, quality assurance, or process development

Profile

You bring at least five years of experience in executive search, top-level recruiting, or a comparable high-demand environment—and you understand what professional communication at leadership level requires.

What we are also looking for:

  • Fast comprehension and a strong results orientation: you quickly see what a project needs and act accordingly to enable excellent outcomes
  • Strong analytical thinking, paired with the ability to run multiple projects in parallel in a structured, highly professional manner
  • Genuine enjoyment of working with people—and the maturity to conduct difficult conversations clearly and confidently
  • Entrepreneurial thinking within your area of responsibility
  • A completed Master’s degree with strong results; business-fluent German and English

Compensation consists of a fixed salary that is above average for the boutique market, plus a bonus component, in addition to the benefits listed.
